Missouri Farriers' Association

We are a group of Farriers, dedicated to the continuing education of farriers, horse owners and trainers on sound hoof care, while promoting the equine industry within Missouri.

We support certification of farriers and encourage horse owners to seek out the services of certified farriers. We are a chapter of the Brotherhood of Working Farriers which is the largest farrier organization in the world.

We welcome the membership of farriers, horse owners and those interested in shoeing, research and farrier science as members.

Our meetings take place the 3rd Saturday of each month at 12:00 noon. Our meeting location is the Shur Shod Horseshoeing School, 2900 Bluebird Dr. Grovespring, MO.65662.

News for 2008-09:

Brother Farriers, Horseowners and Friends:

You have a special invitation to attend a very informative meeting. MOFA will meet the third Saturday of each month at the Shurshod Horseshoeing School in Grovespring, MO. If you haven't yet paid your dues, don't miss this opportunity.

On our tentative agenda are educational seminars and clinics. Paying your dues will afford you the opportunity to receive a lot of practical knowledge and information to further your success. If there is any particular subject you would like to see covered, please come to the meeting prepared to discuss it. Every effort will be made to address all items brought out at the meeting.

Your input and everyone working together will make our organization grow and our businesses flourish. An educated horseowner can only benefit a good farrier.

In other news, MOFA will be represented at a booth with Shurshod at the HorseFest in Springfield in the Spring of 2009. We will also be planning the BWFA Spring Fling to be held at Grovespring or an alternative location to be decided.

I am very much looking forward to seeing lots of new and old faces on September 20th. This is a quality organization that I am proud to serve.

Randall Dennis
MOFA President
